Emily Weber had always carried the echoes of the 1940s and early 50s crooning in her soul, a musical inheritance from her grandfather, Dick Mitchell. Dick was more than just a crooner; he was a hardworking entrepreneur with a magnetic spirit. It’s as if Emily met her fate when she first heard her grandfather’s voice match that of the “Ol’ Blue Eyes”. That old-world allure had stuck with her, like the lyrics of a Sinatra classic.
When Emily met Brian, it was love at first song, a meeting of kindred spirits. Brian, a musician and equally hardworking man who had a love for restoring what once was old, resonated with Emily’s soul as if they’d both been cast in a romantic classic from the era Emily so adored. Together for 15 years, their lives had become a duet, harmonizing not just in love but in their shared vision for their community and for the world.
This husband-wife duo had dedicated their lives to giving every child access to the arts. Their love for community engagement resonated in every corner of Fox River’s Edge Theatre. You see, “FRET” didn’t just stand for Fox River’s Edge Theatre anymore; it had evolved into a dynamic symbol of their ever-changing musical themes, a cheeky nod to Brian’s musical background, and a promise of fresh and exciting experiences.
So, we invite you to “Don’t FRET…Sip the Drama,” as we change our musical theme once a quarter. As you taste the international wines carefully selected and named in honor of each new theme, remember that you’re not just enjoying a glass of wine; you’re sipping on a legacy of love, music, and dreams that continually evolves.
With each changing theme – be it Frank Sinatra, Rock N Roll, Broadway or Summer Beach Vibes – we promise to offer you a new symphony of flavors and melodies that will transport you to different times and places. The legacy of love and melody that Emily and Brian started continues to grow and evolve, just like the music they hold dear in their hearts.
